Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church
(WELCA)
Purpose:
WELCA is a community of women of all ages committed to grow in faith,
affirm their gifts, support one another, engage in ministry and action,
and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the
world (from Propose Statement - WELCA).
Opportunities:
- Monthly programs covering social issues, self-growth,
Bible studies, etc., followed by fellowship;
- Annual Christmas Dinner and June Picnic:
Projects:
- Lutheran World Relief Kits;
- Christmas and Easter gifts for the homebound;
- Children's Home toy collection; and
- Christmas tree money project.
