St. Mark’s is pleased to present as January’s Steward of the Month – Bobbie Huffman. Bobbie is another faithful member who is willing to lend a helping hand whenever the need arises. Just don’t ask her to serve on Church Council or make an announcement to the congregation!!
Bobbie has been a member of St. Mark for many years. She was baptized, confirmed, and married here. After the birth of their two children, she and Bob (the "Bug Man") moved the family out of the Hamilton area. About ten years ago, they returned to Hamilton and immediately became very involved at St. Mark's again.
You don’t have to look far to see Bobbie giving of her time to one thing or another. Bobbie serves as an usher and flower deliverer. She also serves on Altar Guild and is an active member of WELCA (we always look forward to her broccoli salad - DELICIOUS!). In addition, Bobbie has been a Youth Group advisor for about seven years, opening her home and her heart to a number of St. Mark youth.
Bobbie’s “job” outside of St. Mark’s is as a surgical nurse at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County Hospital in Willingboro, NJ. She and husband Bob have been married for more than 36 years, their children are now grown, and they are the proud grandparents of Joey and Tori (who were also baptized at St. Mark).
When asked why she dedicates so much of her free time to St. Mark’s, she says that being a member of St. Mark is being part of a bigger family. She looks forward the seeing everyone. Being part of such a faithful congregation means a lot to her, and she happily wants to give back.
